inventory control software

Inventory Management Software

RAM’s Inventory4000 solution provides users with a fully comprehensive inventory management facility for items that require management and tracking but fall below an organisation’s capitalisation threshold. Inclusive of a master-list of types, sub-types and the cost centres against which items may be recorded, the module is not only capable of storing mass and in-depth detail on each item, but may further include such information as current/historical condition, associated consumable stock items or a summary of events that have occurred over the item’s lifetime, including acquisitions, transfers and disposals.

With the ability to fully integrate with the Asset4000 module and therefore associate inventory items with assets, Inventory4000 satisfies both IT and financial requirements. Inventory items can be associated with capitalised assets so that events such as transfers can be consequentially generated where necessary.

The system provides users with both current and historical information on the condition and whereabouts of items and associated stock, including previous and scheduled maintenance plans. Its user-friendly Windows™ inspired interface and powerful search engine ensure ease of use and upon having located the chosen inventory item, full details can be viewed, maintained or updated via a single input screen.

Features and Benefits:

  • Fully integrates with RAM’s Asset4000 module to satisfy both IT and financial requirements.
  • Single screen data entry.

  • Configurable data fields enable users to record extra information, such as the purchase date, warranty, expiry date, purchase cost and insurance value.
  • Allows detailed condition reports to be stored against each inventory item.
  • Has the capacity to link uniquely referenced documents such as letters, emails, purchase orders, invoices, certificates and contracts to inventory records via RAM’s Document4000 module.
  • Records a full history and future plan of maintenance.

Comprehensive Reporting

Inventory4000’s powerful reporting facility incorporates a range of standard user definable reporting templates and with up to 25 user-defined lines of analysis and a further 25 descriptive fields, users are able to generate detailed, customised reports in accordance with very specific criteria.

Data can be segmented so as to represent any combination of over 100 customisable categories which can later be printed as a header page for the full report. What's more, configurable data fields and multi-currency values allow additional information such as purchase date, warranty expiry, cost of acquisition and insurance value to be recorded.

Whether used in conjunction with Asset4000 or independently as part of an inclusive asset accounting strategy, Inventory4000 proves an invaluable part of the fixed asset management suite.

“With such a large proportion of items on our asset register being IT equipment, RAM’s Inventory4000 module was a key requirement for us. It provides access to a company wide repository of data and caters for both the finance and IT departments' specific requirements.”
