Trade4000 is a comprehensive module to manage both the acquisition and sale of equipment.  It can be used within Rental4000 in addition to the leasing functionality or as a standalone solution for container traders.  Extracting procurement and sales data from multiple systems can incur expensive administration costs and wastes valuable management time.  Trade4000, on the other hand, saves companies money by providing access to detailed information within one system.  Profit & Loss calculations on equipment trading are therefore recorded and reported on accurately, allowing timely adjustments to be made to future sales prices and purchase negotiations. 



Procurement Management

Keeping track of unit acquisition and refurbishment is made simple by Trade4000’s work order functionality.  It helps users to closely monitor the entire acquisition process, allowing costs to be stored accurately and exported directly into the financial ledgers.  This improves profitability, saves time entering new assets into duplicate systems and reduces associated administration costs. 

The entire purchase cycle is recorded at every stage, from unit creation to production in the factory to availability in the depot.  Units bought for repair, refurbishment or immediate resale can also be tracked through the system, easing the administration time involved.    

Work orders (in multiple versions) can be accessed on one single screen and quickly retrieved using comprehensive selection criteria, such as work order type, end lessee, end contract and work order date.

Completed units can be added to the fleet singularly or by batch to reduce data input.  In addition, purchase orders can be created against a work order and automatically emailed to the vendor.  Units can be automatically or manually assigned to purchase orders and uploaded via an Excel file.



Sales Order Management

Controlling and reporting on the equipment sales process is made easier with Trade4000’s sales order functionality.  It enables users to reduce administration time associated with unit sales, maximise profitability on units, reduce storage time and increase the sales flow.

Sales orders can be stored and viewed in an easy to use single screen and retrieved using an extensive range of selection criteria.  Customer records, quotations, approval requests, invoices and release documents are easily generated. 

Both incurred and rechargeable costs are captured in detail and calculated using stored tax codes, transfer values, NBV and M&R information. This data ensures that profit and loss calculations are accurately recorded to help control and guide future sales pricing.

At every stage of the sale, the inventory is updated with a user specific status to assist with the allocation process.  A detailed reporting tool allows users to analyse vital information as standard, including:
