RAM strolls into BostonReal Asset Management opens its second office on US east coast Real Asset Management (RAM), the fixed asset and maintenance software specialist, has today announced the opening of its second North American office in Boston MA. the 'Walking City'. “In the early part of 2004, the RAM board decided to open an office in North America, said Karen Conneely, Group Marketing Manager. “The decision was born out of extensive research into both the US and Canadian markets where we found an array of organizations with complex, multi-national, multi-state asset management requirements. These organizations had one thing in common,” he added, “they had been unable to find a suitable US supplier with the breadth of experience and range of accounting features needed to deal with some very specific specialist requirements. Their needs, however, were not that dissimilar to the requirements of our existing customers in Europe.” Having recognized the potential for its products in North America, RAM opened its first office in Des Moines IA, which is one of the fastest evolving business and insurance centres in North America. Although Des Moines provides the group with a central location and a sizable and very knowledgeable population of IT workers from which to recruit, RAM was fully aware that it would need to expand its operations if it was going to support a range of pan-American clients. “It had always been our intention to ramp up operations during the year, added Conneely. “Some significant recent wins, which involve large-scale, multi-location implementations, have prompted us to bring forward the opening of our second office in Boston by several months. “It’s going to be a very busy month for our colleagues in North America,” she added. “In addition to expanding our support operations in Des Moines and opening the Boston office, staff will also be overseeing RAM’s expansion on the web with the launch of Asset Station, our first fully downloadable fixed asset accounting product.” |
