In keeping with long standing tradition, RAM yet again attended the Housing Finance Conference earlier this month, which this year moved location to the ACC in Liverpool. As always, it was a busy event with over 1,000 housing finance professionals in attendance.
The usual format applied over the two days consisting of a range of breakfast briefings, exhibition seminars and keynote speeches and included discussions and debates on key issues including Pay to Stay, Right to Buy and funding.
As with previous years, the exhibition provided a great platform for RAM to catch up with its large number of housing customers as well as provide advice and assistance to prospective clients on all things related to FRS 102 and component accounting. With the sector just about to close this financial year-end, it was apparent that many associations have yet to become fully compliant with the latest requirements under SORP 2014 and will be approaching the 2016/17 financial year with the key objective of setting in place the correct systems and procedures to support full compliance.
As a proven supplier of component accounting software to over 190 housing associations, RAM is best placed to offer expertise and best practice and can assist with any data preparation requirements in anticipation for a move over to FRS 102.
